Do you feel like swimming? I didn't
Yesterday, Robin booked me on a helicopter tour of the island. Today, that's what I did. It was one of the most amazing experiences I ever had. We flew clockwise around the island in roughly the path shown on the map. The helicopter was a 6-passenger affair and I was lucky enough to ride shotgun, in the front right seat. The coolest thing about that is that the glass of the door goes well below the seat, so that you're sitting there as if in mid-air! Very cool! The only drawback were the reflections in the glass of things inside the helicopter and mist that would accumulate on the outside of the glass when we were in the interior of the island where the clouds and rain were. But I toughed it out and this is what I got...

When I grow up, I want one of these.
Stopping at the beach in Hanalei Bay, we walked into the middle of canoe races.
Ke'e Beach at the end of Kuhio Highway, the beginning of the Na Pali Coast & Kalalau Trail
Being the trailhead for Kalalau Trail, there were cars parked everywhere!

The Kalalau Trail goes along the Na Pali Coast, right along the shore, to the Kalalau Valley, which we saw from the top of the Waimea Canyon yesterday. This is a serious hike and we didn't have time to take it. Robin's done it when she was living here and she says it's fantastic. When we come to Kauai again, we will stay for at least a week so we can do things like this.

I think this is Moeloa Falls
